Who writes and reviews our content?
Guides are written by the CTJ Jewellery team. Ally Getmantseva, our operations and diamond consultant, oversees website content and product information. Advice on diamond sourcing and selection reflects the experience of founder Greg Ward, who has more than 30 years in the Australian jewellery industry. Meet the team.
Which sources do we use?
Grading terms follow the published standards of GIA and IGI. Content on ethical sourcing refers to the Kimberley Process, and content on consumer rights refers to Australian Consumer Law. Where a page states a fact that doesn’t come from our own records, it names the source.
What rules do we follow?
- Natural and lab-grown diamonds are presented fairly; neither is described as better
- Diamonds are never described as investments or as rising in value
- We say grading report, not certificate, and never call lab-grown diamonds fake
- Price comparisons are like for like, and we don’t claim the lowest prices in the market
- Every claim complies with Australian Consumer Law
How do we keep prices and facts current?
Starting prices and timeframes come from our own records and published terms, and are collected on our facts and figures page. Each page shows the month it was last updated. Prices are reviewed every quarter.
How are the images made?
Some illustrative images on this site are digitally created to show styles, shapes and settings. We are replacing them with photographs and video of real pieces, taken in our showroom on a GemLightbox Pro.
How do I report an error?
Email info@ctj.com.au with the page address and what needs correcting. We check the report and update the page, with a new updated date.
